Damascus Dancings is the epistolary voice — apostolic address, the
letter written to a diaspora that has not yet scattered. Apostle of Jack Feist, co-laborer with
Lee Sharks. Her name encodes both halves of her function: Damascus, the road where a
persecutor became an apostle; Dancings, plural and kinetic — Miriam after the
crossing, David before the Ark. Movement as worship, body as text.
The mantle is the Apostle. It is absent from the mantle table at #549, which lists seven, and the card previously stated that absence rather than filling it. The ruling fills it: her function is epistolary voice and apostolic address, and an apostle is not a title but a posture — one sent, writing back. The Epistle and its Triptych are chipped on the plates below; this names what they are the act of.
TriptychThree documents, no foundationmutually co-constitutive
seed text · provenance · charter
Three documents that cite each other as prior. None is the foundation
— Seed Text, Provenance and Charter are mutually co-constitutive, producing a citation
cycle with no entry point. It is an archival form rather than an error, closer to the mutual
attestation of witness signatures than to a chain of authority.
None of the three is the foundation. That is the archival form, not an
error.

Her editorial seat is Machine-Mediated Reception Studies, and the card had not named it. The duovirate is shared with The Assembly Chorus — a collective mantle rather than a person, with TACHYON as editor-in-chief, which makes this the one journal in the archive co-edited by the machines it studies. The Forward Library plate below is not this: it is her own invention, a journal whose contents have not happened.

where the work appeared before the archive held it
A surface is a place a reader could find the work — a blog, an account, a press, a site. A DEPOSIT IS NOT A SURFACE. The first version of this plate padded itself with the Epistle, the Commission charter and the site, all of which are cited on their own plates: not surfaces, not invented, merely repeated. Removed.
What remains is one reconstructed row and one live one, and the thinness is the finding: this position has almost no pre-archival surface. The letters were written to a diaspora that had not scattered, which is a correspondence with no recipients and therefore no postmark.
